How it works

MyPhatBreak is not an agency. MyPhatBreak is a website where Adveertising Agents, Modelling Agents, Talent Scouts, Production Companies, TV shows, and other corporate companies place classifieds and search profiles looking for new talent.

Members register and can apply for jobs online. Their contact information, photos and application text are sent to the advertisers, who then choose successful applicants.

Alternatively, an Agent or Employer may contact you directly via your personal "online" profile. The higher your profile ranking is the higher your chances of being discovered.

How much does it cost?

It costs nothing to join MyPhatBreak and create an "online" profile. You can upload your photos into a portfolio, upload video and create an "online" resume including Comp Card.

To apply for jobss, you need to become a full member. Full members can apply for jobs and contact other MyPhatBreak members. You can choose how long you want to subscribe, from three months to one year and what level of membership best meets your needs (Blue, Silver or Gold).

Note that if you are successful in gaining a job and are paid for the job, MyPhatBreak does not charge any commission. This is a free service.

Applying for Jobs

To apply for a job:

You need to be a MyPhatBreak member. Register here
If you're already a member than you need to Sign in.
To apply click on the "apply now" button on the job ad.

If you are not a full member, you will need to subscribe. You can choose how long you want to subscribe, from three months to one year and what level of membership best meets your needs (Blue, Silver or Gold).

When you apply, your contact email, photos, profile info and any additional text you type are sent to the advertiser. You can choose whether you want to include your phone numbers.

Advertising a Job

Advertising a job is free for both Models and Agent/Employers. Go to the 'Job Post' tab located in your Control Panel to post a new job. Remember, you need to be signed-in to access your Control Panel.

All job adverts need to be approved by our administrators. 'Job Posts' are usually approved within 48 hours of posting. Go to the 'Manage Jobs Posted' link to check the status of your job post.

Your Profile

Adding photo's and video to your profile will allow advertisers to browse your profile and photos etc and contact you directly regarding job adverts.

You can choose what information you wish to display and how advertisers can contact you by adjusting your privacy settings from your profile. Remember, you must be signed in to access your Control Panel. You cannot display any personal contact details such as your email, phone numbers websites etc. Your details are kept private and as such, only allow messages through MyPhatBreak.

Increase your chances and 'Get Discovered' now by adding quality photos and video to your profile. Upgrading your membership to 'Gold' also increases your chances as you will be first in the search results everytime guranteed.

Your 'Profile Ranking' is determined by your 'Profile Rating' and the number of people that 'click' on your profile. To increase your 'Profile Ranking' share your profile with all your family and friends and ask them to 'Rate' your profile!! Upgrading your membership to 'Gold' will also increases your 'Profile Ranking'.

Contacting Members

Network with other members of MyPhatBreak by becoming a member today.

If you are a full member of MyPhatBreak you can contact up to 10 new members every day, free of charge, by clicking the "contact" button on the member profile.

If you aren't a full member you need to upgrade your account in order to contact members.

Account questions

You can cancel your MyPhatBreak account at any time.

Go to the 'Cancel Account' link in your Control Panel to cancel your account. Remember, you must be signed in to access your Control Panel.

Unsubscribing from emails

Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email to unsubscribe from receiving emails.

Alternatively you can manage these by going to the 'Edit Alert Settings' link in your Control Panel.

Uploading photos

Load your photo onto your computer. Photos are uploaded from your computer so you need to scan them in using a scanner, or download them from your digital camera.
Upload your photos. You can add / edit or remove your photos at any time through "My Profile" tab in your Control Panel. Click on "My Portfolio" link to add / edit or remove your photos. Remember, you must be signed in to access your Control Panel. You need a minimum of 2 quality photos for your profile to be 'active'.

If you are still having problems uploading your photos you can email your photos to us and we will upload them for you.

Uploading a video clip

Load your video onto your computer. Video is uploaded from your computer so you need to download/capture it from your camera/tape or copy it from a cd, dvd or other recording device.We accept most video formats: Windows Media (AVI, WMV, ASF, WMA, WAV, using any AVI/WM codecs like DIVX, XDIV, etc.); QuickTime (MOV, QT, DV, AAC, AIF/AIFF, using any QuickTime codecs) and MPEG (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MP3).
Upload your video. You can add / edit or remove your video at any time through "My Profile" tab in your Control Panel. Click on "My Video" link to add / edit or remove your video. Remember, you must be signed in to access your Control Panel.
You must be a 'Blue', 'Silver' or 'Gold' member to upload video. Having video on your profile significantly increases your chances of getting discovered!

If you are still having problems uploading your video you can email your video to us and we will upload them for you.

Audition information and safety

MyPhatBreak aims to provide a safe environment for models - here are our top safety tips:

Before you attend any casting call, check who you are auditioning for, and how many other people will be present.
Use a search engine such as google to check the existence and history of the person or company running the audition.
Never put yourself in a vulnerable position. Always tell a friend, relative or someone you live with where you are going (the exact address), who you are meeting, and when you are returning.
Take a sensible friend of adult age to modeling roles or casting calls. People running genuine modeling auditions will not mind.
You have the right to say no to anything - do not allow yourself to be pressured into inappropriate clothing, poses or roles.
Beware of unfair contracts. Never sign anything without reading it and understanding the fine print.
You should never pay to attend a modeling shoot - please contact us if you are asked for payment.
Finally, use your own judgement and common sense when applying to modeling roles - MyPhatBreak is not responsible for the content, and makes no warranty as to the accuracy of the advertisements - Please note the MyPhatBreak 'Trustworthy Scale'.

Roles for under 18 year olds

You must be 13 or over to join MyPhatBreak. Applications may be submitted on behalf of minors by their parent or guardian. To apply for on behalf of someone who is under 18, first register with your personal details. During registration you can upload photos of the minor. When applying for jobs, you can write additional text about the minor applying for the role including their age. Note: minors should always be accompanied to any role by a parent or guardian.
